Hwang Grandmother Galbi Cheongju Seongan-gil Branch (Main Store)

Hwang Halmeoni Galbi Jjigae is located about halfway between Cheongju Jungang Park and Yukgeori Traditional Market on the south side of Seongan-gil. It is a restaurant that opened in 1976 and has been in operation ever since, serving food without chemical seasonings and removing the distinctive pork odor. The galbi uses first-grade ribs with the fat removed, and for the spicy braised galbi, a refreshing broth is served before tasting the galbi. The menu offers three dishes: royal braised galbi, spicy braised galbi, and spicy galbi stew.
