Geumsan World Ginseng Festival

At the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival, held in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do, the home of ginseng with a history of over 1,500 years, the festival is increasing tourist satisfaction with diverse experiences and attractions enjoyed by all age groups, such as ginseng digging experiences, red ginseng pack massages, red ginseng foot baths, an international ginseng trade fair, and traditional ginseng culture experiences, as well as thrifty shopping, and throughout the venue you can taste healthy foods using ginseng and medicinal herbs. Held annually since 1981, the Geumsan World Ginseng Festival has built up a reputation as a truly representative industrial festival of Korea, with a record of being designated 10 times as one of the top 10 best festivals nationwide by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and being selected as an Asian specialty festival by the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA World) in 2024, and it is being reborn as a global festival enjoyed with people around the world.
