Cham Joeun Gumbeongi Insect Farm

Chamjoheun Gumbengi Insect Farm is an insect-specialized farm that began operating in 2018, and is equipped with two insect breeding houses, a fermentation room, and a logistics warehouse on a 1,984㎡ site. It breeds pet insects such as stag beetles and scarab beetles together with edible insects such as grubs, and also operates a space for selling insect breeding supplies and experience facilities. Experience programs include catching grasshoppers, catching loaches, and hands-on interaction with living creatures, and craft experiences such as making a rhinoceros beetle habitat and making a 3D insect puzzle are also offered. On the interior walls of the experience center, insect specimens such as rhinoceros beetles, longhorn beetles, butterflies, and white-spotted flower chafers are displayed, enhancing the learning effect along with interaction with live insects. It processes grubs into pill, powder, and extract forms for sale and also produces and supplies fermented sawdust for insect feed, leading the insect industry as a future food industry. It is also suitable as a family outing course linked with the nearby Belfore Resort and Montessori Welcome Kids.
