Hangul Day Cultural Event

To mark the 580th anniversary of the promulgation of Hunminjeongeum, the "2026 Hangeul Day Cultural Event" will be held from October 9 to 10, 2026, in the area of the Tomb of King Sejong the Great. This event is a cultural event organized to promote the achievements of King Sejong the Great and the value of Hangeul, and to reflect on the meaning of Hangeul Day. For children and family visitors, various experience and exhibition programs themed around Hangeul will be operated, including a special performance of 'Catch! Teenieping' and a communication performance by 'Heunhan Namdae'. In addition, throughout the Tomb of King Sejong the Great, a 'Rest Area Small Concert' showcasing various cultural and artistic performances will be held. Along with this, programs will be prepared where visitors can encounter the history and value of Hangeul through experience programs themed on Hangeul and King Sejong the Great. It is an event that operates various programs such as performances, experiences, and exhibitions utilizing the historical and cultural space of the Tomb of King Sejong the Great, providing an opportunity to culturally encounter the meaning of King Sejong the Great and Hangeul on Hangeul Day.
