Paju Fair: Books and Culture

Paju Fair Book & Culture brings together major publishers, authors, readers, and bookstores in one place, providing a special venue where books can be viewed and enjoyed from a new perspective, not merely as objects to be read. It presents citizens with diverse cultural and artistic creative works such as performances, exhibitions, and experiences that emerge from the source content of books, further expanding the realm of reading culture. Furthermore, it goes beyond Korea and actively introduces excellent K-Books and related content to overseas markets, even serving as a global market that pioneers sales channels. The 2026 Paju Fair Book & Culture consists of diverse programs over about 10 days. Starting with the opening ceremony 'BOOKS ALIVE!', diverse performances such as an indie music and dance festival and a youth dance festival will unfold. The book market 'Nan-geotdeul', in which about 290 publishers and bookstores participate, and its own program 'Nan-jangpan' and thematic exhibitions are linked to provide rich attractions. In addition, as a youth accompaniment program, it operates the Paju Brewery Concert, the listening session 'Let's Just Listen', and the 'Booknic' experience where picnic items are rented. Along with this, it holds global publishing and IP business consultations and international forums for overseas expansion, promoting the expandability of K-Books, and rich cultural networking programs such as lectures and flea markets held throughout the publishing city are prepared.
