Chungju Dam Cherry Blossom Road

The Chungju Dam Cherry Blossom Road, which is full of beautiful cherry trees and even shows off the green leaves of the willows, runs from Chungwon Bridge, the road north of Chungju Dam, to the Chungju Dam Power Plant. The upper road in the middle is famous for the cherry blossom walkway leading to the Water Culture Museum, and the lower road is a place where you can walk through a cherry blossom tunnel toward the Chungju Dam intake gate monument. There are many white cherry blossoms here, but pink double cherry blossoms also bloom in a tunnel along the dam waterway. This place, which is said to be crowded during the flower festival, is beautiful with cherry blossoms that show off their splendid appearance in spring, and is a great place just to look at the waterway flowing with the flowers. There is a deck road next to the waterway flowing through Chungju Dam, so you can look around comfortably and feel the feast of spring, not only with cherry blossoms but also with forsythia and magnolia. There is a water culture center next to the cherry blossom road and a cafe on the second floor, which is a great place to rest while walking and look at the surrounding scenery. It is also good to feel the coolness at the waterfall rest area and admire the cat sculptures that appear here and there. Before the water culture center was built, many cats lived here, so there seem to be many cat sculptures. This is a place where you can watch the coming of spring while walking along the cherry blossom road at Chungju Dam.
