Gongjaksan Ecological Forest

Gongjaksan Ecological Forest was created in 2009 in the area of San 4, Deokchi-ri, Dong-myeon, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon-do, covering 163 ha, and is a representative recreational facility of Hongcheon-gun. Gongjaksan Ecological Forest is famous as a place good for walking for people of all ages and genders, with an ecological pond integrated with the Buddhist culture of the thousand-year-old temple Sutasa, a native plant garden, an oxygen trail, a healing rest area, and various trees including local tree species. The Gongjaksan Ecological Forest oxygen trail course has a total length of 3.8 km and is a walking course that takes about 1 hour for adults. In the middle of the path, which is made up of flat ground with almost no uphill sections, you can also see a pond full of lotus flowers and a descendant tree of the Boeun Jeongipumsong. At the entrance of the ecological forest, there is an ecological forest education center, equipped with an exhibition hall, education hall, and information search station, so that it can be used as a place for visitors and group experiential learning.
