Gyeryong Military Culture Festival

The Gyeryong Military Culture Festival is a comprehensive defense-themed cultural event held throughout Gyeryong City, where the headquarters of the Army, Navy, and Air Force are located. Since its first edition in 2007, this year marks its 16th edition. For five days from Thursday, October 1 to Monday, October 5, 2026, starting with an opening performance by top-tier artists such as Sohyang and Forestella, military band and honor guard performances and special performances by the Army performance team will unfold on the permanent stage, auxiliary stage, and across the runway. In particular, the largest-ever road parade and a large-scale city parade involving about 700 people add dynamism to the festival, and various military culture contents that visitors can directly participate in, such as military equipment and shooting experiences, extreme guerrilla challenge, comprehensive barracks experience, and VR·AR experiences, are also prepared. Along with this, through a variety of programs that people of all ages can enjoy together, such as a history lecture by Professor Shin Byung-ju, a 20m large LED special video hall showcasing video content, and a children's theme park, a differentiated defense culture festival unique to Gyeryong will be presented.

Program
