국립생태원

The National Institute of Ecology's Ecorium displays about 1,600 species of representative animals and plants from each of the world's five major climates, allowing visitors to vividly experience living ecosystems. It has Permanent Themed Exhibition Halls 1 and 2, a Special Exhibition Hall, Eco Lab, as well as a Children's Ecology Study Room, a 4D Theater, and an outdoor exhibition area.

Surawon

It is a Hanwoo (Korean beef) specialty restaurant located in Janghang-eup, Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. Various Hanwoo menus are famous, but the ssambap (rice wrapped in leafy vegetables) menu is also popular.

Janghang Songnim Forest Bathing Area (Janghang Pine Forest)

Janghang Pine Forest has a dense pine forest stretching along the coast, allowing you to enjoy a quiet walk. You can walk slowly while stepping on dry pine needles, and there are benches and pavilions, making it good to sit and rest for a while or sit around with family and eat snacks. The coastal scenery, with no distracting restaurants, amusement facilities, or breakwaters, only the sea and white sandy beach, gives travelers a time of healing.

Yujeong Restaurant

Yujeong Restaurant's signature menu is shrimp jeotgal (salted fermented shrimp), and takeout and online orders are also available. In addition to shrimp jeotgal, it also sells aguijjim (braised monkfish) and aguitang (monkfish soup). There is a group seating area inside, making it good for various gatherings. There is no dedicated parking lot, but there is a nearby public parking lot. It is close to the Dongseocheon IC, and nearby are the Janghang Skywalk Observatory, the Geumgang Estuary Bank Tourist Site, Janghang Port, and the filming location of the movie "Christmas in August."

Eorengi Otdak

Eorengi Ottakdak, located in Jongcheon-myeon, Seocheon-gun, sells ottakdak (chicken with lacquer) dishes and baeksuk (whole chicken soup) made with chickens they raise themselves and lacquer. In particular, dakgaejang, sold as a lunch special, is gaining popularity for its clean broth and the spicy kick added by red pepper powder. Dakgaejang is sold only from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hansan Ramie Hall

The Hansan Ramie Exhibition Hall is located at the foot of Geonjisan in Jihyeon-ri, Hansan-myeon, Seocheon-gun, where ramie was first discovered. Here, the history and value of ramie, Korea's traditional textile, are introduced, and the process from harvesting ramie to weaving ramie and completing ramie crafts can be learned in detail. It also reproduces and displays 20 traditional costumes made of ramie from the Goryeo Dynasty to the Joseon Dynasty.
