Cheongok Cave

Located in the heart of Donghae, this is the only limestone cave in Korea set in the middle of a city. The golden bats living in the cave are a rare species designated as Class I endangered wildlife and a Natural Monument. Only 810 m is open to visitors, and the rest is protected as a conservation area.

Yeongbingwan Raw Fish Restaurant

Yeongbingwan Raw Fish Restaurant is built of Canadian pine, and two-thirds of the building is glass, giving it a café-like feel unlike a typical raw fish restaurant. A chef with more than 10 years of experience serves a variety of fresh sashimi.

Dokkaebigol Sky Valley

A tourist attraction where various experience facilities have been built at Dokkaebigol so that visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the East Sea. Murung Byeolyucheonji

Mureung Byeolyucheonji is the Mureung District 3 site where Ssangyong C&E mined limestone; after 40 years of mining it has become a unique tourist attraction with various experience facilities and two emerald-colored lakes. With a Sky Glider, an Alpine Coaster and more, it offers thrills and fun.

If you order Mureung Ilga's signature dish, the fish and mountain-vegetable set meal, you can taste 17 delicious side dishes and foods for just 10,000 won. Chuam Chotdaebawi (Candlestick Rock)

Chuam Chotdaebawi, a famous spot in Donghae, is a place that inspires admiration with the scenic beauty created by strange rocks in the water and the Chotdaebawi (Candlestick Rock) against the sea. The sight of strangely and exquisitely shaped rocks like candlesticks rising in clusters as if piercing the sky is truly magnificent. On days when the waves are calm, it can even feel like a deep lake.
