Chuncheon Liquor Festa

The 2026 Chuncheon Liquor Festa is a representative traditional liquor and local gastronomy festival organized to widely promote the unique charm of Chuncheon, the city of liquor, and to revitalize the stagnant local liquor culture. In particular, this year's event, ahead of the main event, was held for two days from June 19 to 20 at Hwadong 2571, a complex cultural space in Geunhwa-dong, in the form of a mini liquor festa as a preliminary event, drawing a great response. At this event, local breweries representing Chuncheon participated in large numbers, showcasing a diverse range of our liquors including takju, distilled spirits, yakju, fruit wine, and craft beer, and sales booths where visitors could taste directly and purchase bottled liquor at reasonable prices were operated, capturing the attention of visitors. In addition, local gastronomy brands and food trucks of Chuncheon were closely linked to provide rich and attractive gourmet snacks in perfect harmony with traditional liquor, offering satisfaction for all five senses. Going beyond a simple drinking gathering, a variety of unique experience programs and side events that visitors could directly participate in and enjoy were unfolded, including a main-hyang stage where cultural busking took place. Chuncheon City is evaluated as a festival that has secured an important foothold through this festival to substantially enhance the brand competitiveness of local breweries and to imprint differentiated stay-type gastronomy tourism content and local lifestyle on tourists visiting Chuncheon.
