Daegok Market

Daegok Market in Dowon-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu is a small market that opened in 1997 and is still in operation. It has a small but diverse range of stores, including small restaurants, snack shops, vegetables, home fashion, and snacks. As of October 2021, 72 shops are in business. With apartment complexes nearby, it is frequented by many Dowon-dong residents, and recently affordable raw fish and dried fish have become popular. About 50 to 100 customers visit on weekdays and 150 to 200 on weekends. With a large Daiso store having opened nearby, foot traffic has increased and more customers are flowing into the market. Nearby are Daegu's representative tourist attractions such as the Prehistoric Relics Park, Wolgwang Waterside Park, and Daegu Arboretum, making linked sightseeing possible.
