Gyeongsan Jujube Festival & Agricultural Products Hanmadang

The 15th Gyeongsan Date Festival & Agricultural Products Fair is a regional festival showcasing Gyeongsan's specialty agricultural products, a region that accounts for approximately 30% of the nation's date production. Gyeongsan dates, traditionally presented as tribute to the royal court, are a signature product of Gyeongsan, known for their sweetness and the sunlight they absorb. The festival, themed "Gyeongsan Dates: A Royal Tribute Culinary Festival," features the sale of fresh dates and a variety of culinary programs utilizing date-based products. Visitors can enjoy a talk concert by poet Jang Seok-ju, a trot music concert titled "Byeolcho" (meaning "star seed" in Korean), and a dinner show called "Teukcho." In addition to these programs, the festival also offers cultural performances such as Jungbang Nongak (traditional farmer's music), a trot drama, and a performance by the "Cheongchun Microphone Synergy Band," as well as a marketplace where visitors can discover local agricultural products.
