Muan Yellow Clay Mudflat Festival

The Muan Hwangto Tidal Flat Festival is an ecological experience festival held under the theme 'The Tidal Flat Is Alive' at the Muan Tidal Flat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a festival that widely promotes the ecological value of the Muan Tidal Flat, Korea's first Wetland Protection Area No. 1, and the excellence of the Hwangto tidal flat, and conveys the meaning of tidal flats where nature and people coexist through experiences and cultural events. The festival venue, Muan Hwangto Tidal Flat Land, features the Muan Tidal Flat Exploration Bridge, Korea's longest 1.5km offshore pedestrian wooden bridge, and ecological experience facilities, and is an ecotourism destination where visitors can experience tidal flats and the sea up close. During the festival period, experiences themed on tidal flat ecology, cultural events, exhibitions, and performances are operated, and various contents that family visitors can participate in together are organized. The Muan Hwangto Tidal Flat Festival is a festival that seeks to promote sustainable ecotourism and revitalize local culture by linking the conservation value of the World Heritage Muan Tidal Flat with the region's ecological and cultural resources.
