영천의 공연예술의 장인 영천시민회관은 1989년에 개관하였다. 2015년에 증축 및 시설 보수를 하여 새롭게 태어난 공간은 1층은 574석, 2층은 207석으로 총 791석의 관람석을 지닌 공연장이다. 지역의 대표적 문화공간으로 기획공연, 음악회, 기획 전시를 비롯한 각종 문화 예술 활동을 유치하여 시민에게 다양한 볼거리를 제공하고 있다. 또한 예술 교육 프로그램을 운영함으로써 예술의 향유와 삶의 질 향상에 앞장서고 있다.
