Namchon Hoegwan

After crossing the Seomjin River Bridge from Gurye Station toward the town center, you will find Namchon Hoegwan, which captivates passersby with its antique atmosphere from the outside. A palace-like gate and large pine trees in the garden welcome visitors first, and five traditional hanok buildings on a 500-pyeong site come into view at a glance. The building, with its high, thick rafters exposed on the ceiling, gives a majestic feeling, while the interior walls are finished with windows and doors, hanji, etc., exuding our simple elegance and the scent of home. You can taste spicy stews made with freshwater fish such as catfish soup and crab soup.
