Namhae Culture Center

Since its establishment in 1965, Namhae Culture Center has been inheriting and preserving the history and culture of Namhae, conducting local history research, nurturing local cultural artists, and carrying out various cultural content development projects. It holds academic forums at the Local History Research Institute, publishes books on Namhae's local history research and achievements, and operates various courses at its culture school, including calligraphy, literary painting, Gyeonggi folk songs, Korean traditional dance, and singing classes. To inherit the region's unique culture, it operates the Treasure Island Art Troupe, and as event projects, it hosts various events such as Namhae Cultural Heritage Night, cultural tours, Culture Day events, the Geumsan Bongsudae Prayer Ritual for Citizens' Well-being, and the Gyeongnam Senior Farmers' Music Competition.
