Gumi Culture and Arts Center

The Gumi Cultural and Arts Center, located in Songjeong-dong, Gumi, was opened with the purpose of supporting diverse artistic activities with modern cultural facilities for the development of local culture and arts and the emotional enrichment of citizens. It has one basement floor and three above-ground floors, and is equipped with a performance hall, exhibition rooms, and other facilities. The performance hall consists of a large performance hall, a small performance hall, and an outdoor performance stage, while the exhibition rooms consist of Exhibition Room 1, Exhibition Room 2, and an outdoor exhibition area. Other auxiliary facilities include a meeting room, practice room, dressing room, and lounge. It provides citizens with opportunities to enjoy culture through high-quality performances such as classical music, musicals, dance, madanggeuk, and magic shows that the whole family can enjoy, as well as art exhibitions by planning and rental. In addition, it discovers and nurtures talent and supports their activities through the operation of three artistic troupes: the City Choir, the City Dance Company, and the City Boys and Girls Choir.
