The Uibyeong Seungjangbi is a monument commemorating the martyrdom of Great Master Yeonggyu of Giheodang, who died together with Jungbong Jo Heon at the Battle of Geumsan. It was erected in May of the 5th year of King Sukjong's reign (1839) at the entrance to Boseoksa Temple and stands inside a pavilion. The inscription was composed by Uuijeong Jo In-yeong and calligraphed by Geumsan County Magistrate Jo Chwi-yeong. The front face bears the large characters 'Uibyeong Seungjang' (Righteous Army Monk-General), but the strokes are severely damaged. The left side records the names of those involved at the time of construction, including the founding donor Nakbong Daein, and the right side records that 'Uibyeong Seungjang' on the front was written by Changnyeongwi Kim Byeong-ju. The Japanese colonial authorities demolished the pavilion protecting the monument in 1940 and buried the monument; it was retrieved and re-erected after liberation.
