Sacheon Samcheonpo Port Wild Shad Festival

The Samcheok Port Wild Anchovy Festival in Sacheon City is a food festival centered around anchovies, a signature seafood product of Samcheok Port. It has garnered continuous interest and love from both tourists and local residents, growing into a nationally recognized food festival. This year marks the 23rd edition of the festival.

In 2026, under the title "23rd Sacheon City Samcheok Port Wild Anchovy Festival," the festival will be held during the anchovy fishing season to promote the renowned taste of Sacheon anchovies throughout the country. Furthermore, the festival aims to increase the income of local fishermen, the fishing industry, and related businesses, while also showcasing Sacheon City's pristine waters and its seafood products.
