옥연지 수면 위의 정자와 연결 교량, 주변 산자락이 어우러진 전경. 저수지 구역 중앙에 정자가 위치하고, 전면의 수변 도로선 너머로 넓은 수평 수면과 뒤편의 산비탈이 펼쳐져 있다. 저수지 수면과 정자 구조물, 산자락의 경사면이 수평적인 공간 구성을 이룬다.
